Your first appointment in-clinic is an initial assessment which is booked for 1 hour.
Follow-up* appointments in-clinic are booked for 30 minutes which are 1-on-1 treatments with your physiotherapist.
*Your follow-up appointment may increase in duration depending on whether or not your physiotherapist uses modalities for your treatment.
Your first appointment in-home is an initial assessment with some treatment. Your follow- up in-home appointments are 1-on-1 sessions with your physiotherapist. All in-home treatments are 1 hour.
Your physiotherapist will do a brief review of your medical history and ask question about your current injury. Your physiotherapist will assess your pain and discomfort to better understand your injury along with some treatment. They may also recommend certain exercises for you to do at home until your next appointment.
Yes! All of our physiotherapists are registered with the College Of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
No. Physiotherapy on Wheels is not an OHIP Designated Physiotherapy Clinic.
Our clinic is located at 6295 Mississauga Road Suite 130. We are right on Mississauga Road, just north of Britannia, in the same plaza as the Service Ontario.
Each private insurance policy is different for every client. We provide our clients with an invoice at the end of their appointment which they can later submit to their private insurance provider.
No, a prescription is not necessary. Nevertheless, if you have a family doctor you can inform your physiotherapist to provide extra details on your case.
There is no specific amount of appointments that are required to be completed. Depending on the injury, some patients require more frequent appointments than others.
Your physiotherapist will recommend the duration and frequency of follow-up appointments optimal for your injury during the initial assessment.
