SPORTS SPECIFIC CONDITIONING
& INJURY PREVENTION

An athlete requires not only determination but also power, strength and endurance specific for that sport! Our kinesiologist will work with you on those fundamentals to help maximize your highest level of performance while minimizing the likelihood of injury. The recreational gym attendee will also benefit from a guided exercise prescription that covers the fundamentals (frequency, intensity and duration) of a workout program.

Prior to opening Physiotherapy On Wheels in 2003, Alan was a three-time Canadian Olympic gymnast, (1988, 1992, and 1996) a double gold medalist at the Commonwealth Games (1990 and 1994) and Canadian National Gymnastics Champion (1993).

For your convenience, we bill your auto insurer and/or health benefit plan directly. I would like to give a review on my physiotherapist Rostam. My husband and I have had Rostam coming to our home for almost a year now. He is the most amazing person to work with. He is interested in your health and comfort. Always on time for his appointments and evaluates how you are progressing. I would recommend him to anyone especially someone who needs a person with knowledge and patience. He is polite and understanding of your needs. It has been a pleasure having him help us. Thank you

I've been seeing Abbey, a young female physiotherapist, for a wrist injury from work. She is not only very professional and knowledgeable, but also incredibly kind, patient, and always has a warm, positive attitude. After about five months of treatment, my wrist is finally almost pain-free. I truly appreciate her expertise and care. Highly recommend Abbey!

I have been dealing with shoulder and knee pain for some time now and came in to see Matthew, who has been amazing. It has bin a bit over a month now and still a bit of work in progress, but I am seeing a great improvement in my range of motion and pain. I had been here for previous issues and found all of their staff to be really great. Would highly recommend them.

Matthew K. is hands down one of the best physiotherapists I've ever got to deal with in my life. Ever since my accident he has been there for me in my rehabilitation in order to get my life back on track. I honestly don't know where I would be without him. Referred to by my family doctor for my recurring back issues/pains, I visited and received physio care for the first time in my life, and wow, I was in awe how fast & well my pains were mitigated by targeted treatments/exercises by Matthew, my physiotherapist and now my "hero". My golf buddies now know whom to approach with all those aches and pains from golf swings. And I can confidently encourage other aching golfers to visit Physiotherapy On Wheels as we all need to play this game life long. Lastly, facility is clean and well equipped, and staffs are pleasantly friendly and courteous.

I had a fantastic experience with Physiotherapy on wheels and my physiotherapist, Alan. From the first appointment, I felt welcomed and cared for. They took the time to assess my condition thoroughly, explained the treatment plan clearly, and answered all my questions with patience and professionalism.

Over the many years of attending his clinic, I noticed improvement in my mobility and pain levels. The exercises were tailored to my needs and adjusted as I progressed. I appreciated the hands-on techniques and the practical advice for managing my symptoms at home.

My family doctor highly recommended Physiotherapy on Wheels over twenty years ago for a herniated disc issue. Owner Alan was absolutely incredible and caring and worked so hard to get me fully functional and free from pain again.

I’ve revisited this clinic many times over the years for a variety of issues and have always been so happy to see that their standards of excellence have been maintained.

Everyone at the clinic is so very friendly and supportive. Donna welcomes you with genuine warmth and caring (not something you see at many clinics now where sadly you feel more like a number).

Christine is my current physiotherapist for a knee injury and there are no words for how terrific she is. Patient, attentive, caring, super-knowledgeable, always happy to explain and answer any questions, she is as determined to get me back to 100% as I am (even more actually!).

The clinic is spacious and well equipped. The staff is unbelievable. This place is a rare gem and I’m so thankful its in my neighbourhood! I highly recommend it.

My experience at POW has been superb! Alan has a great deal of patience and is very gentle, yet effective. He uses many modalities such as ultrasound, acupuncture, laser, as well as manual therapies. I never feel that he is rushing and he gives you the time to complete the treatment as needed.

The staff is very professional and accommodating. Bonnie and Angelica at the front desk as well as Sara, the kinesiologist are all wonderful to work with.
